How in-hand salary is worked out
- Basic is usually 40–50% of CTC. PF is 12% of basic.
- Employer PF is part of CTC but goes to your PF account, so it comes off first.
- Your PF (another 12% of basic) and professional tax come off your gross pay.
- Income tax: new-regime slabs on gross minus the ₹75,000 standard deduction. Nil up to ₹12 lakh taxable, thanks to the 87A rebate. Then add 4% cess.
What that take-home means per day
Split ₹1,99,498.00 a month with the 50/30/20 rule. The wants slice is the one to watch: it's your daily fun money.
